Founded by Louis Hachette in Paris in 1826, Hachette Livre is the largest publisher in France, and the third largest educational one in the world. 

In the world of city guides, obsolescence is almost a mindset when you start to write about a popular destination. You bear in mind, with a slight frustration, that some places will close up before the book is shining bright up on the library shelves, and other addresses will start to rise and sparkle before you even noticed.

My editor first contacted me in 2014 when Dubai was, for me, not yet the "place to be", still being new in town...

In 2018, I eventually accepted the mission of author as Dubai genuinely became my home. I longed for sharing some great spots, but also take up the challenge of conveying a positive image of the city, far from the overblown image and sensationalist clichés forged by some of the media abroad. Dubai is not only fancy or made of posh residential areas, it's a vibrant, young and active hub with authentic dwellers from all over the world. 

Here and there, I am also taking my Leica M for a walk, capturing the dynamic facets of Dubai and its diversity. Some of these pictures are part of the publications since 2022. ​​
